Oral History works well with all ages, and LHNE have had the opportunity to work in schools with all ages.

With such projects as 'The Home that won the war', 'It's the way we tell it', and 'Cranes, boats and trains', Living History North East are eager to engage young people or all ages with older volunteers in the recording of living memory. These projects provide access to the skills and expertise needed to create valuable resources.

St Thomas More School, North Tyneside

St Thomas More School were involved in a year long project to record and document the experiences of shipyard workers from the Tyne.

This was compiled into a DVD. It also became part of the 'Nation on Film' BBC Project and can be viewed by logging onto www.bbc.co.uk/nationonfilm/education/

LHNE have also worked with younger children to introduce a new dimension to studying the past.
